These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the North East Poker website and any related pages, features, tools, and services
(together, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1) Who we are
“North East Poker”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refers to the operator of this website (the “Site Operator”).
North East Poker is a community-driven platform that helps players discover games and helps tournament organisers promote events.
2) What the Site does (and does not do)
The Site may include venue listings, tournament calendars, organiser pages, ratings/reviews, and poker-related tools (including calculators).
- We are not a gambling operator, and we do not operate, supervise, or control the venues, tournaments, staff, structures, prizes, or payouts listed on the Site.
- We are not a venue, and we do not take buy-ins, hold player funds, or administer prize pools.
- Any event details are provided by venues, tournament directors (“TDs”), users, or other third parties and may change at short notice.
3) Eligibility and responsible use
- You must use the Site lawfully and in a way that does not harm other users, venues, TDs, or the Site Operator.
- If you are under the legal age required to participate in a given venue or event, you must not attempt to use the Site to arrange attendance at that event.
- You are responsible for ensuring that attending any listed event is lawful for you and complies with the venue’s rules.
4) Accounts (if applicable)
Some areas of the Site may require an account (for example, organiser/TD submissions).
If you create an account:
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
- We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is being used unlawfully, abusively, or in breach of these Terms.
5) Listings, schedules, and third-party information
We aim to keep listings accurate, but we cannot guarantee the correctness of any event details, including (without limitation):
dates, start times, locations, formats, blind structures, guarantees, rake/fees, eligibility requirements, late registration, payouts, or cancellation policies.
- You should always confirm details directly with the venue or TD before travelling.
- We are not responsible for losses or costs you incur due to inaccurate listings (for example: travel, accommodation, missed events, or changes in schedule).
6) Tournament Directors and organisers
If you are a TD, organiser, or venue submitting content to the Site:
- You confirm that the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not misleading.
- You confirm you have the right and authority to submit the content and to represent the venue/event.
- You agree to update or remove listings promptly when details change or events are cancelled.
- You accept that the Site Operator may edit, format, refuse, or remove submissions (for example, for clarity, duplication, policy breaches, or abuse prevention).
7) Ratings, reviews, comments, and user content
The Site may allow users to submit ratings, reviews, feedback, comments, or other content (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you agree that:
- Your User Content is truthful, based on genuine experience, and posted in good faith.
- You will not post abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or unlawful content.
- You will not post personal data about others (for example: phone numbers, addresses, private messages) without consent.
- You will not attempt to manipulate ratings (including spam, coordinated brigading, or multiple submissions intended to distort scores).
- We may remove User Content at our discretion, especially where we believe it breaches these Terms or harms the community.
8) Licence to use User Content
You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting it, you grant the Site Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence
to use, reproduce, display, adapt, and publish your User Content on the Site for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Site
(for example: showing reviews, calculating averages, and moderating content).
9) Tools and calculators (ICM, payouts, and future tools)
The Site may provide informational tools, including an ICM Calculator and Payout Calculator, and may add additional tools in future.
These tools are provided for convenience only.
- Calculator outputs are not financial advice and are not a guarantee of results.
- Outputs depend entirely on the information entered and the assumptions/model selected.
- We do not guarantee the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any specific tournament or ruleset.
- You remain responsible for your own tournament decisions, announcements, and payout calculations.
ICM models note: if the ICM Calculator offers multiple models (including a standard ICM model and an adapted trial model that pays the minimum cash),
you are responsible for selecting the model that matches your event’s intended approach and communicating it clearly to players.
10) Intellectual property
- The Site’s design, layout, branding, and original content are owned by or licensed to the Site Operator.
- You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site except for personal, non-commercial use, unless we give written permission.
- Venue names, logos, and tournament branding may belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes.
11) Acceptable use
You agree you will not:
- Use the Site in any way that breaches law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, server, or database.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site in a way that places unreasonable load on our systems (unless we explicitly permit it).
- Introduce malware, bots, or automated submissions designed to disrupt or manipulate the Site.
- Impersonate a venue, TD, player, or any other person.
12) Moderation and enforcement
We may (but are not required to) monitor content, investigate reports, and take action we consider appropriate.
This may include removing content, restricting features, suspending accounts, or blocking access to protect the community and the integrity of the Site.
13) Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy (where available).
Where the Site uses technical measures to prevent abuse (for example, limiting duplicate ratings), we may process technical identifiers
(such as hashed values) for security and integrity purposes.
14) Links to third-party websites
The Site may link to third-party websites (including venue pages, ticketing pages, social media, or external calendars).
We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability.
15) Disclaimers
- The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- We do not guarantee the Site will always be available, secure, or error-free.
- We do not guarantee that content on the Site is complete, accurate, or up to date.
16) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site Operator will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site,
including (without limitation):
- losses arising from inaccurate or changed event information
- travel costs, accommodation costs, wasted time, or missed tournaments
- disputes between players, venues, and TDs
- errors in calculator outputs or reliance on tool results
- loss of data or business interruption
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
17) Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time (for example, when adding new tools or community features).
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
18) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site (or certain features) if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms
or where necessary to protect the Site, our users, or third parties.
19) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
