About North East Poker

From East Durham Poker

What began as a small weekly pub league grew into East Durham Poker, with local games organised since 2014 and EDP officially founded on 2 November 2015. As fields grew, the operation moved into a dedicated card room inside Peterlee Central Club in June 2018.

The aim has always been simple: accessible, well-run poker in a friendly but competitive environment, built around the people at the tables.

The North East Poker Schedule

In February 2023 the next idea started to take shape — a platform connecting players and tournament organisers across the region. The project was later revived with the aim of bringing the North East poker scene together in one place.

North East Poker is designed to make it easier to discover games, explore venues and give organisers a central place to promote what they are running, from pub tournaments through to larger independent series.
